MonmouthCares Welcomes Five New Board Members

MonmouthCares is an independent non-profit in Monmouth County, NJ that serves youth and families up to age 21 and is part of the NJ Children’s System of Care. Our mission is “to facilitate positive change so that children with emotional and behavioral challenges, along with their families, have the greatest opportunity to live, thrive and develop in their communities.” The Board of Trustees at MonmouthCares is responsible for the strategic and fiscal oversight of the organization. We are pleased to announce five new Board of Trustee members.

MonmouthCares’ Executive Director, Marin Kirby De Leon, welcomes the new Board members expressing, “I am thrilled to be welcoming five amazing additions to our Board of Trustees at MonmouthCares. Each individual brings unique skills and talents; we are so fortunate to have their guidance and energy."

The new board members will include:

Veronica Gilbert-Tyson:

Veronica is the Director of Family Services at the Mercy Center in Asbury Park, responsible for the successful implementation and management of the Family Resource Center.

Christine McIver:

Christine is a retired public-school teacher who worked closely with special education students for 34 years.

Aquisha Nedd-Espinal:

A previous Care Manager at MonmouthCares, Aquisha now serves as a Program Manager at Eternal Evolution where she is responsible for generating operational best practices to influence and ensure the successful growth of business.

Karina Rivera:

Founder of Rivera Consulting LLC, Karina specializes in providing strategic HR consulting services to mission-driven organizations. She recently was named Chief People Officer at NY Kids Club and NY Preschool.

Donna Sisco, Esq:

Donna is an attorney with Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla in Red Bank, NJ. She specializes in the review and negotiation of commercial leases, representing both landlords and tenants.

The five new Board members join the existing members: Amy Bellina, Madelyn Curtis, Sara Haight, Therese Hendrickson, Gary Linington, Phyllis Lockwood-Geis, Melanie Moore, Ginger Mulligan, Lisa von Pier, Jim Scavone and Al Soles.
