LiveWell Center (Monmouth Medical Center)

The LiveWell Center is a unique space and a very positive outpatient wellness environment, not just for the local community but all of Monmouth and Ocean counties and beyond. Our mission is to ensure people of all ages have the means and ability to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. That includes access to quality healthcare together with free wellness and educational programs.

Our educational programs cover a wide range of topics at no cost to the community with a strong focus on preventative care and wellness. Examples include healthy nutrition and food preparation, childbearing and postpartum health, disease prevention and management, screenings and movement activities such as Zumba and yoga, and much more.

The space also allows us to provide a variety of free support groups as well as a smoking cessation program through the Institute of Prevention and Recovery. The LiveWell Center was conceptualized in part during the pandemic, so we designed our facility to provide virtual and hybrid programs in addition to in-person programs, presentations, and workshops.

The heart of the LiveWell Center lies within our WEforum Demonstration Kitchen. Led by our full-time registered dietitian, the kitchen is equipped to provide cook-along classes and both in-person and virtual programs, completely free to the community. Through our Dorothea and Jon Bon Jovi Nutrition Education Program, our goal is to provide tremendous education on subjects like nutrition and food preparation, snacking and how to eat for different health conditions such as high cholesterol, diabetes or obesity.

Family Care and Wellness marks an important contribution to the wellbeing of the entire community. Our hope is to make a positive impact combining educational and medical resources to address social determinants of health and provide a good community health experience for our entire population.
