Monmouth County provides several resources for residents looking for food assistance:

  • Monmouth ACTS ResourceConnect 732-683-8959 Speak to a live social worker M - F between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. A social worker will connect the caller to potential resources in the Monmouth County area, including County Departments and Divisions, social service agencies and the many organizations that make up Monmouth ACTS

  • SNAPSupplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food assistance to families with low incomes to help them buy groceries through a benefits card accepted in most food retail stores and some farmers markets.
  • Moceans Offers One-time Replacement of SNAP Funds: MOCEANS Center for Independent Living, Inc. is offering a one-time direct support opportunity for current  Moceans members. This program is limited to replacing missing November SNAP funds and does not cover other expenses. Distribution continues only while funds are available.

  • JBJ Soul Kitchen Community Restaurant - RED BANK. JBJ Soul Kitchen is a community restaurant that serves an in-need and paying customer. There are no prices on the menu and customers are served a delicious restaurant-style meal regardless of their ability to pay.

What To Expect When Visiting a Food Pantry
  • Depending on your location, the pantry may be walk-in or may be by appointment.
  • May ask you for some documentation
  • May require a mask
  • To make your experience as easy as possible, we recommend the following steps:
    • Check out Fulfill's list below to identify which pantries are located near you.
    • After locating your nearest pantry, check for their required documents, appointments, and hours.
    • If it's a pantry that requires an appointment, give them a call to set one up.
  • As needed, make sure you gather any necessary documents in advance of the day you're heading to the pantry. If you need a photo ID, you can visit your nearest NJ Motor Vehicle Commission and if you need to replace a Social Security card, visit this page from the U.S. Social Security Administration.

Fulfill NJ

WIC Centers in Monmouth County (WIC) which stands for the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, is a government program that provides healthy foods, nutrition education, and referrals to other services for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, as well as infants and children up to age five.

Asbury Park Food Pantries: posted by the City of Asbury Park. Includes surrounding areas.

Food for Former Foster Youth (to age 27) New Jersey Department of Children and Families (DCF) is providing help to former foster youth, up to age 27, who are recipients of SNAP. In order to connect to help, young people are encouraged to email [email protected] and staff from the Office of Adolescent Services will guide them through the process to apply for supplemental assistance.

Pet Pantries: Monmouth SPCA The Monmouth County SPCA will be delivering food and supplies to Lunch Break in Red Bank in and Open Door in Freehold periodically so that pet owners in need can easily attain necessary items. Pet food and supplies are no longer be distributed from the MCSPCA site in Eatontown.

  • Bayshore Family Success Center (BFSC) Baby Pantry - LeonardoBayshore Family Success Center runs a baby pantry at their Headquarters 945 State Highway 36, the first Friday of each month, but you must register with them a week before. (732) 497-3811
  • Bayshore Family Success Center (BFSC) Baby Pantry - KeansburgBayshore Family Success Center runs a baby pantry at the Church of St. Ann in Keansburg on the 3rd Wednesdays of each month, but you must register with them a week before. (732) 497-3811

  • Oceans Family Success Center (OFSC) Asbury Park.1004 Comstock Street, First Floor. Families need to contact OFSC to schedule an appointment for pick-up. Appointments are available between 10 AM and 2 PM. Every 2nd and 4th Tuesday.
