Current and former military service members and their families are invited to join us for special programming designed just for them! Guests will take an interactive tour, enjoy educational activities and meet other military families. Programs require advance registration.

Free Income Tax preparation provided by AARP Foundation / Tax-Aide Volunteers is available for simple Federal and NJ returns only. Service is on a first-come, first served basis, when the library is open. A limited number of returns may be prepared in each session.

Family Promise's Day Center has moved to Fort Monmouth in Oceanport, 501 Malterer Avenue. It provides homeless children and their families with food, clothing, emergency shelter, transportation, life skills training and comprehensive case management.

Walk For A Difference is a great day of family fun with free inflatable rides, entertainment, and activities for the whole family. All funds raised from this event will stay right in New Jersey to provide free autism education for parents and teachers, free recreational events for children and adults with autism, and free training for law enforcement and other first responders throughout the state.

Family Based Services, in partnership with Rachel Tansey, from the Rutgers Cooperative Extension Service in Monmouth County, Therese Hendrickson Family Advocate, and Shatiya Whitley Monmouth County Youth Partnership Coach, will be offering FREE hands-on food education classes.

180 Turning Lives Around, a private nonprofit organization in Monmouth County, will be conducting the 40-hour training course for a new Domestic Violence Response Team. DVRT advocates work with law enforcement to provide support, information and resources to victims of domestic violence. Deadline to apply is April 19th.

Spotlight Sessions: Advocates in Action is hosting our first Spotlight Sessions, where community providers will be spotlighting their services. We encourage families, support coordination agencies and providers to attend and learn about innovative services in the community.
