Rainbow Fish world premiere will splash down at Shore

"The Rainbow Fish," based on the children's book by Marcus Pfister about a fish with silver scales who learns to share his gifts with the world, was created by Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia, with puppetry and all. "The Rainbow Fish" will play at Two River Theater from Dec. 15 to 18.

The run of the show will feature a relaxed performance at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, for children on the autism spectrum and their families.

Also scheduled is Día de la Familia at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 17, which brings Spanish-speaking and bilingual children and their families to the theater — many of them for their first experience of seeing a play, the theater says. The free performance also includes refreshments and theater games starting at 3 p.m.
