SAIL, Students Achieving Independent Lives, is a transformative summer program hosted by Voyagers' Community School, running from July 8 to August 15, every Monday through Thursday, from 9 AM to 3 PM. With a cap of 20 participants aged 20-30, admission involves an interview process to ensure suitability and commitment.
This innovative program is designed to nurture both soft and hard skills essential for independent living. Soft skills such as social awareness, character development, and interpersonal communication are honed alongside hard skills like vocational readiness. Through a diverse range of activities including STEM projects, art & crafts sessions, music workshops, gardening, games, therapy dog visits, and more, participants are immersed in experiential learning tailored to their needs.
To further enrich the experience, SAIL integrates community service projects, field trips, and onsite employment visits, fostering real-world engagement and empowerment. For those interested in learning more about this impactful program, inquiries can be made by calling 732-842-1660 or reaching out via email to Shannon McCutcheon at [email protected].
