The People's Pantry at Mount Carmel Church in Asbury Park

The People’s Pantry is a pop-up food pantry that runs on the first and third Tuesdays of every month in the parking lot of Mount Carmel Church in Asbury Park, 3:30-5:30 pm.

The People’s Pantry now happily hosts student volunteers from CBA High School, Saint Rose High School, and Brookdale Community College who are in need of service hours.

How you can help: The pantry services Individuals, children, and families who are in need living in Asbury Park and the surrounding areas. We are always in need of non-perishable food items, hygiene products, clothing, and toys for donation. Baby products such as diapers, wipes, and formula are also very much appreciated.

STAR Program (Support Team for Addiction Recovery)
The People’s Pantry at Mount Carmel Church in Asbury Park is excited to announce that at every Pantry, Preferred Behavioral Health Group will now be present with members of the STAR Program ( support team for addiction recovery), staffed by people in recovery.

STAR is a free program that offers local residents one year of case management and peer support services. They eliminate barriers and provide linkages to resources. At each pantry, representatives from the STAR program will be present with NARCAN kits and linkages to resources within the community.

A bilingual representative from Monmouth County Social Services will also be present at each pantry so that our patrons are made aware of the support services that are available to them.
