STAR Program (Support Team for Addiction Recovery)

The People’s Pantry at Mount Carmel Church in Asbury Park is excited to announce that at every Pantry, Preferred Behavioral Health Group will now be present with members of the STAR Program ( support team for addiction recovery) staffed by people in recovery.

STAR is a free program that offers local residents one year of case management and peer support services. They eliminate barriers and provide linkages to resources. At each pantry representatives from the STAR program will be present with NARCAN kits and linkages to resources within the community.

A bilingual representative from Monmouth County Social Services will also be present at each pantry so that our patrons are made aware of the support services that are available to them.
