Monmouth County Transportation Resource Guide

NJ Transit Access Link is a paratransit service providing transportation for people with disabilities who cannot use local fixed-route bus or light rail systems due to physical or functional limitations.

Access Link offers door-to-door service, allowing customers to travel with a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and one companion. The service operates on the same schedule as local bus routes, including weekends and holidays. Customers can manage reservations and payments through the Access Link Online platform or mobile app.

Ride in Monmouth 732-431-6480

Ride in Monmouth is a demand response shared ride transportation service. All services are first-come, first-served, by availability and curb-to-curb. Available for transportation Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Residents can book their trip as far as six months in advance or as little as 48 hours; however, it is strongly encouraged to book as far in advance as possible to secure a ride. Ride in Monmouth also provides transportation services for other County programs and activities such as Made in Monmouth and the SUSHI program.  [email protected]

Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey – Medical Transportation: Access to Care (732) 505-2273

Volunteers provide medical transportation to individuals who are 60 and over and no longer driving. You are picked up at home and driven to their medical appointments. Typically, if the appointment is less than an hour, the volunteers will stay with you until your appointment is over. Canes and Walkers can be accommodated, however Wheelchairs cannot.

Healthy Hop  (732) 894-4922

Healthy Hop is a program that is run by Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey. It is for individuals who are 60 and older and live in Monmouth and Ocean County. Must be able to get in and out of the vehicle with little to no assistance. Canes and Walkers can be accommodated, however Wheelchairs cannot. They provide one round trip ride a week for medical appointments only.

This is a paid membership program helps you with scheduling rides and finding the cheapest pricing for those rides across multiple providers. You must complete an application to start your account with them. For more information and details please contact them.

Their high-tech fleet includes wheelchair-accessible vans, basic life support ambulances, and regular vehicles. Trained staff provide door-to-door service, ensuring safe and comfortable travel to medical appointments, social outings, shopping trips, and more.

Marvel Medical Transportation (732) 761-5555

Marvel Medical Transportation provides non-emergency medical transportation for seniors and individuals with mobility challenges in Monmouth County and beyond. Their services include ambulatory and wheelchair transportation, with trained staff offering door-through-door service. Marvel's ADA-compliant vehicles are equipped with hydraulic lifts or electric ramps, ensuring safe and comfortable travel to medical appointments, social outings, and more.

Modivcare, the state’s medical transportation broker, provides non-emergency medical transportation to NJ FamilyCare clients living anywhere in the state.

To schedule call 866-527-9933. For return trips call 866-527-9934. Passengers should call to request rides two days prior to their appointment. You can request trips over the phone one month ahead of the appointment. There is no limit to how far in advance a trip can be requested when it is submitted online: Login - TripCare.
