The Asbury Park Senior Center is a free Day Program for Senior Citizens of Asbury Park aged 60 and over. The program is designed to meet the social needs of our Senior Citizens. The Center offers a variety of programs and activities that encourages, motivate,s and stimulates the mental and physical activity level of our seniors. The Center is a place for seniors to socialize, have fun and meet new people.  Here they can share their experiences, hobbies, and special talents. It is a place where they can forget about their ailments, and enjoy an environment where the staff is very passionate about the needs and services for our seniors.

A Calendar and Newsletter are prepared monthly and mailed upon residents' request,  others are distributed to all Senior Citizen Buildings such as Comstock Courts, Lumley A&B, Robinson Towers, Philip Seaview Towers & Asbury Towers. The center provides transportation to and from the center, door-to-door service in an 18-passenger Wheel Chair Accessible Bus. Seniors are transported to do their weekly Grocery Shopping at stores such as Shop-Rite, Foodtown, Wegmans, and others.  Day Trips such as PNC Art Center, Newark Museum, Walmart, Target, Kmart, and Golden Corral are just to name a few. All trips are exciting, educational, and fun. Our daily activities include: Arts & Crafts, Ceramic Class, Computer Class, Wii Bowling, Bingo, Board and Card Games (Spades, Bridge, Hearts & Poker), Fitness (Yoga & Zumba) Line Dancing, (Electric Slide& Cupid Shuffle)  Guest Speakers (Health Issues & Senior Services) Mind & Body Therapy (Manicures, Hand Massages & Brain Teasers) Monthly Visiting Nurse, Porch Talk (I remember when….) Tournament Games (Billiard, Ping Pong & Wii Bowling), and if you are hungry about all the activities Lunch is served from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm with a suggested donation.
