JSAC Summer Art Camp - Boardwalk Treats
Ages: 8 to 11yrs
Meets: Mon-Fri, July 10 - July 14, 9:30am to 12:30pm
Beat the heat and create some treats! Young artists will let their creative taste buds flow while exploring traditional and non-traditional art materials to build scrumptious faux boardwalk treat sculptures. Working with a variety of mixed media including recycled items, artists will have the opportunity to create 3-dimensional boardwalk favorites such as Ice Cream Sundaes, Donuts and Pizza! Dress for mess in the art studio and bring a (real) snack and beverage.
About the Instructor: Ms. Melanie Wollek is a dually certified elementary and art teacher with 25 years combined experience. Ms. Wollek loves everything about art, especially the process of learning, discovering, and creating.
In addition to the instructor, a teacher's assistant will be present during each session. All teachers, assistants and staff have been thoroughly vetted by the Jersey Shore Arts Center (JSAC).
Parental Consent Form: A parental consent form and agenda will be sent to parent(s) upon registration. The parental consent form must be completed and submitted to JSAC prior to the start of JSAC Camp

Meets: Mon-Fri, July 17 - July 21, 9:30am to 12:30pm
Beach Creature Sculptures (or Jersey Shore Inspired Sculptures)
Dive into the world of sculpture as you create Jersey Shore inspired 3- dimensional beach and marine life. Kids will combine recycled and traditional art materials to explore, experiment, and learn the basics of building a sculpture to create your own mini masterpieces. Discover what it means to be an artist and the fun involved in the process. With instruction and encouragement kids will create while learning new techniques and skills. Dress for mess in the art studio and pack a daily snack and beverage.

To ensure that the arts flourish within the community JSAC provides a venue for artistic expression as well as opportunities for participation in theater, music, art, dance, and activities for all individual ages. The Center is supported entirely by volunteers, has no paid employees and uses no professional fund-raising organizations.
