Ms. Wilcox earned a Master of Social Work degree from Rutgers University, School of Social Work in 1997. Ms. Wilcox is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and NJ Certified School Social Worker with more than fifteen years experience working with children, adolescents, and families. Professional affiliations include the National Association of Social Work, the Association of Play Therapy,  and EMDRIA.

Ms. Wilcox integrates several theoretical approaches into her practice including Sandplay Therapy, , Internal Family Systems Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Emotional Freedom Technique. When working with children, Ms. Wilcox utilizes play therapy techniques, which foster a safe and nurturing environment for children to express themselves and begin the healing process. Ms. Wilcox supports the belief that overall wellness should encompass an integration of emotional, physical and spiritual experiences.  She integrates complementary methodologies, techniques and strategies to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each individual.
