Social Skills Summer Series – West Long Branch
The Social Skills Summer Series is a structured, small-group summer program designed to strengthen social and emotional skills in a supportive, engaging setting.
Location:
West Long Branch Clinic (Monmouth County, NJ)
Age Groups:
• Ages 3–7 (Morning Session)
• Ages 7–10 (Afternoon Session)
• 3–5 learners per group
Session Options:
Families may register for 1, 2, or 3 weeks.
Summer 2026 Schedule:
Block 1: Monday–Thursday | Weeks of July 6, 13, 20
Block 2: Monday–Thursday | Weeks of August 10, 17, 24
Children may enroll in one or both blocks.
Program Focus
Skills targeted include:
• Emotional regulation
• Attending and participating in a group
• Following directions
• Waiting appropriately
• Turn-taking
• Peer engagement
Skills are embedded into motivating, hands-on activities to promote natural learning and generalization.
Daily Activities May Include
• Gross motor movement
• Crafts
• Cooking activities
• Science experiments
• Sensory exploration
Parent Communication & Progress
• Daily communication updates
• Weekly written summary
• Optional detailed report with data analysis and school recommendations available upon request
Pre-Program Assessment
Each child participates in a 30–60 minute assessment at the West Long Branch clinic prior to the start of the program to support appropriate group placement and individualized goal development.
Space is limited to maintain small group size. Early registration is encouraged.
