Red Bank Recreation works hard to bring quality programs and events to the youth and adults of our community. Starting in the winter, we offer Indoor Soccer programs for children ages 5-17. Basketball programs are run by Jersey Fusion, they take place in the winter season and sometimes in the Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter. The Spring season brings youth Track and Field and of course Baseball and Softball for all ages. Another community event we host in the Springtime is the Easter Egg Hunt and a Community Pride Event at Riverside Gardens Park.
The town also hosts The Red Bank 5K Classic Race, which is organized by The Red Bank River Center and The Red Bank Business Alliance. The race features a 5K Run/Walk, Kids Broad Street Dash, Post Event Activities, and After Party. All proceeds go to the Our Parks and Recreation Dept. and The Community YMCA to better serve our community programs.
For our busiest time of the year, Summer Season, we offer camps for children and Summer Series in the Park. Our Summer Series include Movies, Fitness, and Jazz. We welcome everyone to come to Riverside Gardens Park to enjoy these free events. Special thanks to the Community YMCA and Jazz Arts Project for coordinating the Summer Series with us.
During the Fall season, we prepare an amazing Halloween Parade with live music, bands, games, and much more. Recreational Soccer for children PreK to 8th grade. Flag Football is also offered for our youth by the Red Bank AYF. Other events offered in the fall are Halloween Egg-hunt, Children's Art-show, and creative classes.
The Department of Parks and Recreation also coordinates the Memorial Day and Veteran's Day Ceremonies. Our Memorial Day Ceremony also involves a parade.
