New Jersey Regional Family Support Planning Councils (RFSPCs) Monthly Meetings | Monmouth-Ocean Region
The Regional Family Support Planning Councils (RFSPCs) empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and their families through education, advocacy, and connection.
Created by the 1993 Family Support Act, RFSPCs ensure families have a voice in planning and decisions about services. The Monmouth-Ocean RFSPC holds monthly meetings where families can share experiences, learn to navigate complex systems, and advocate for meaningful change.
Current Advocacy Priorities Include:
– Health and safety for individuals living outside the family home
– Future planning for aging caregivers and adults with disabilities
– Navigating the Children’s System of Care
– Promoting person-centered planning across the lifespan
