The Behavioral Health department of Monmouth Medical Center offers a Family Crisis program where a youth specialist provides mobile crisis evaluation and intervention for children and youth ages 5 to 17 and their families at school or at their home.

The goal of this program is to limit the exposure to emergency and psychiatric emergency services and will include the following services:

• Assessment of risk for hospitalization.
• Recommendation and/or referral to appropriate community resources.
• Support, crisis counseling and guidance to community groups, families and children subsequent to a traumatic event.

Our Child and Family Crisis Clinicians are specialists in providing youth and their families crisis intervention, inpatient acute behavioral healthcare, community based education, support, and advocacy.

Additionally, our program has a Regional Response Coordinator whom will assist families in understanding and how to use community based resources. Our Coordinator also works to advocate, coordinate and communicates for all children and youth with emotional and behavioral challenges.
