Monmouth County Parks Therapeutic Recreation

The Therapeutic Recreation Division provides access to recreation opportunites for Monmouth County residents with disabilities to enhance physical, cognitive, emotional and social functioning as well as a sense of belonging. They provide specialized programs year-round and offer community links and support.

Inclusive Recreation Services are available for children and adults with disabilities that do not want specialized programs, but need support to participate in general recreation programs offered by the Park System. Participants complete an Inclusion Profile and are assigned an Inclusion Team, of which they are an integral part, to determine the type of supports and accommodations necessary for successful inclusion.
