Summer Recreation Program (Registration Opens June 1)

This six-week four-hour daily program is the Peninsula's best summer value.  Children interact and develop their socialization skills enjoying good old-fashioned outdoor fun. There is no need for electronic games and children are encouraged not to bring their cell phones as a form of entertainment. Children engage in organized activities including crafts, sports, and fun games.

Tennis lessons are available in small groups for 30 or 60-minute sessions for a reasonable fee.

Location

The program is located at the Rumson Road basketball/tennis courts, behind Markham Place School. This is near the crossroads of Cross Street and Rumson Road.

Program Term

The program will run from June 29 through August 7, 2026 - Monday through Friday, from 8am to 12pm. 

Qualification

Children must be entering 1st grade to attend. 

Counselor Applications

Counselor applications will be accepted until March 15th.  Completion of 9th grade is required.

Registration

Registration will open June 1st via the Community Pass website. The fee for the 2026 Summer Recreation Program will be $145 for six weeks. 

Registration is non-refundable. There are no proration for vacations.
