Handy Andy Maintenance Program for Seniors
(732) 505-2273
Freehold
Even minor home repairs can present challenges for older adults. Changing a light bulb or the smoke alarm battery may involve using a ladder which could be dangerous. Handy Andy is designed to help seniors stay in their home and take care of minor repairs.
Handy Andy is a volunteer handyman service in Ocean and Monmouth County, NJ, designed to assist seniors aged 60 + in aging gracefully in their own homes. Recognizing that many seniors face challenges in finding reliable repair services for small home maintenance issues that are both safe and affordable, they offer a free service.
Seniors can call when they need assistance with minor repairs, and CVCJ staff will coordinate with a volunteer to visit their home. For those who are homebound, materials can be purchased by the volunteer, but must be reimbursed by the homeowner. Seniors can easily register by completing a brief application over the phone.
