The Recreation Commission was created by the Mayor and Town Council in an effort to bring recreational and leisure activities to the residents of Farmingdale. Whether it be physical activities, computer classes, or even a Halloween Parade, our intent is to give Farmingdale a place to recreate and remain close to home.

The Recreation Commission does not propose to compete with the successful area sports and events that already exist rather we hope to complement those programs with local additional opportunities for filling your free time. We look forward to working together with the community as we take a giant leap forward for Farmingdale, yet keep the touch of yesterday that makes Farmingdale so endearing to us all.
