SHIP is your local State Health Insurance Assistance Program. SHIP provides unbiased help to Medicare beneficiaries, their families, and caregivers. Whether you are new to Medicare, reviewing Medicare plan options, or have questions on how to use your Medicare, SHIP can help.

- Enrolling in and changing plans

- Paying for Medicare and prescriptions

NJ SHIP stands for the New Jersey State Health Insurance Assistance Program. It provides free Medicare counseling services to help individuals understand and navigate their Medicare options. This service is offered in collaboration with various organizations, including Family & Children’s Service (FCS). If you need assistance with Medicare, FCS can guide you through the application process.
