CLCL Foundation's mission is to empower youth and families in crisis, bridging the gap to vital resources and uplifting our diverse community through genuine partnerships and coalition building. We strive to foster growth, resilience, and a sense of belonging for youth and families before, during, and after crisis.
CLCL Foundation believes in the transformative power of love and celebration of life. We envision helping every teen in Monmouth and Ocean Counties feel safe, supported and included in their communities. This vision aims to empower every individual we serve to lead fulfilling lives and contribute positively to the community which helped serve them. Our vision is to prevent runaway and youth homelessness, trafficking, family crisis and child maltreatment.
CLCL Foundation seeks to provide a haven of support and resources for at-risk youth and the community at large. Its core services include the Community Cares Program, a three-phased Pilot that includes the Community Care Connection (CCC) Line, a “Warm Line”, donation referral service that debuted Saturday, March 1st, 2025. This program provides bi-County access to referral service to assist in the location of donation sites and procurement of goods to referred members of the community. The second phase of this Pilot debuted on February 21st with the opening of the Community Threads Store (CTS), offering free access to donated goods such as clothing, linens, accessories, baby, kid, and school items, hygiene products, and cleaning supplies. CLCL's Free Family Fun Night (FFFN) events across Ocean and Monmouth County provide opportunities for families to come together, make positive shared memories, improve communication skills and cohesion within the family. These skills provide resiliency, which acts as buffers during times of stress or crisis
CLCL's pending programs include Peer-to-Peer groups for Youth and Caregivers, an evidence-based approach to supporting young people and guardians. P2P will launch Fall of 2026.
CLCL's Home Share Solutions Pilot Program is pending funding to launch. This program aims to address and prevent young adult (ages 18-24) homelessness and work in collaboration with community partners to provide Meet & Greet Activities, Independent Living Skills, Mental Health Services, established Lease Agreements, and Financial Literacy Programs.
CLCL Foundation’s founding purpose—restoring Safe Haven access for runaway and homeless youth (RHY)—has proven more complex than initially anticipated. Establishing the on-site Tree House Program and Emergency Youth Shelter, featuring 3 Pilot Initiatives for youth ages 10 to 19, requires a significantly greater financial investment than originally planned. Nevertheless, CLCL has demonstrated its capacity by securing the Runaway and Youth Homelessness Grant from the Federal Youth Services Bureau, despite delays and administrative challenges that have extended beyond the expected timeline.
