HAVE YOU HEARD the Children’s System of Care (CSOC),
Office of Constituent Affairs has a dedicated liaison to discuss guardianship-related matters for youth ages 18-21 with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)?
The liaison collaborates with DCF staff and families on:
- Preparing for Determination of DD Eligibility for children & youth
- Preparing to apply for Bureau of Guardianship Services (BGS) and DDD
- Understanding Adult Medicaid to apply for BGS and DDD services
CSOC is committed to ensuring youth with I/DD have a smooth transition when guardianship services are needed beyond age 21.
