Therapy typically includes medical monitoring, nutritional counseling, psychiatric and psychosocial consultations and Family-Based Treatment. Physician services are provided by Atlantic Medical Group and are on staff at Goryeb Children's Hospital.
The Pediatric and Adolescent Eating Disorders Center at Atlantic Health System Children's Health offers intensive outpatient programs for adolescents ages 13 to 21 and children ages 8 to 12 who are either receiving care for the first time or have graduated from our partial hospitalization program.
Child intensive outpatient program – Younger children who have made progress both mentally and physically begin the transition back to school, while continuing their eating disorder therapy.
Adolescent partial hospitalization program – Kids ages 13 to 21 who are medically and psychologically compromised as a result of their eating disorders attend daily structured programming focused on restoring health.
Child partial hospitalization program – Children ages 8 to 12 who have medical and mental health complications due to eating disorders receive structured treatment on a daily basis.
