NJ FamilyCare Housing Supports Program Announces 2026 Provider Capacity Expansion Funding Opportunity

The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA), Office of Homelessness Prevention, has released the NJ FamilyCare Housing Supports Program Provider Capacity Expansion 2026 Request for Proposals (RFP). This funding opportunity is designed to strengthen and expand the capacity of nonprofit organizations to provide housing support services to NJ FamilyCare members experiencing homelessness or housing instability. 

Through this initiative, eligible nonprofit organizations can apply for funding to develop or expand services that help individuals secure and maintain stable housing. Supported services include pre-tenancy assistance, move-in supports, and tenancy-sustaining services for NJ FamilyCare members.

The funding opportunity includes two application tracks:

Startup Track – For eligible nonprofit organizations that are not currently providing NJ FamilyCare Housing Supports services and wish to become providers.

Expansion Track – For current NJ FamilyCare Housing Supports providers seeking to grow and enhance their existing programs. [FW: New Fu...nsion 2026 | Outlook]

Applications must be submitted by Friday, July 31, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. through the DCA SAGE system.

As part of the application process, attendance at one of two technical assistance sessions is required for all applicants.

This funding opportunity aims to expand access to housing support services across New Jersey and increase the number of organizations equipped to assist residents facing housing instability.
