HUD Announces the CoC Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity.
On Tuesday, June 23rd, HUD announced the CoC Builds Notice of Funding Opportunity. This funding is available for agencies to submit applications for new construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation of new Permanent Supportive Housing units for persons experiencing homelessness with a disability. The agency is eligible to submit an application for up to $9,000,000. The eligible budget categories are:
Capital Costs
- New construction
- Acquisition
- Rehabilitation
Other eligible costs (no more than 20% of the total request)
- Support services
- Project based rental assistance
- Operating
- HMIS
- VAWA
- Relocation costs
Administrative costs (no more than 10% of the total request)
Process
Due to the quick turnaround time, the CoC will be accepting applications submitted directly in the e-snaps portal: esnaps.hud.gov by July 15th at 4pm. The CoC will evaluate project applications and notify the selected agency by July 20th.
The deadline for submission to HUD is July 23rd, 2026.
