FY26 Application Opens: Homeland Security Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP)
The FY26 application period for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) is opening today. The application period opens this morning, Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:59am, and will close on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Please share with local nonprofits.
NJOHSP is working with FEMA to extend this date, BUT no guarantee of that extension. Get your IJ, Risk Assessment, and 501c3 letter ready for upload ASAP.
A completed application consists of the following three upload requirements:
- Investment Justification (IJ)
- Vulnerability Risk Assessment (VRA)
- A copy of your agency’s IRS 501(c)(3) Letter, where applicable
Please note that your organization’s Mission Statement must be included within the "Organization Type" box on the second page of the Investment Justification. Please read all instructions carefully as this is a competitive grant program. All awards are subject to the availability of funding.
