Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) Merges with YMCA of the Jersey Shore

Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVCJ) has officially become a program of the YMCA of the Jersey Shore as of July 1, expanding services and mental health support for vulnerable seniors across the region. The YMCA is welcoming CVCJ’s volunteer network and growing vital supports that help aging adults live independently and thrive.

This integration strengthens the YMCA’s long-standing commitment to wellness, mental health, aging needs, and social connection. Seniors can now access a wide range of supports, including Healthy Hop medical transportation, handyman services, Caregiver Canines pet therapy, Connect Thru Music dementia therapy, caregiver respite, friendly visits, reassurance calls, veteran support, grocery assistance, and mental health outreach that reduces isolation and improves quality of life.  Vulnerable senior citizens across the Jersey Shore can count on CVCJ and the Y for "Healthy Hop" Medical Transportation.

CVCJ will integrate within the YMCA Counseling and Social Services branch, expanding holistic behavioral health supports through safe, confidential services that have strengthened family life and individual growth for decades.
