Navigating Autism as a Foster Parent is a complimentary virtual presentation designed to support foster families caring for children who may be experiencing autism and/or trauma-related behaviors.

This session addresses common and important questions many caregivers face, including:

  • How to differentiate between trauma and autism-related behaviors
  • Where to begin when a child is struggling
  • Ways to help children succeed in uncertain environments
  • How to identify and access available supports and resources

The presentation is led by Sam Blanco, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA, Chief Clinical Officer, who brings both professional expertise in autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as well as personal experience as a foster and adoptive parent.
