Mom2Mom Peer Support Helpline invites caregivers to an interactive workshop, Grounded in the Present, on Thursday, July 16, at 6:30 PM. This session is designed for mothers of people with special needs and explores common sources of stress while offering practical tools for emotional regulation and mindfulness. Participants will learn grounding strategies that engage the senses to restore calm and clarity.
The program includes a take?home scented sugar scrub that each participant customizes as a personal grounding tool. The workshop is led by Brett Keller, Supervising Mental Health Specialist with the National Center for Peer Support at Rutgers Behavioral Health Care, and Danielle Hewitt, Mental Health Clinician for the statewide hotlines Mom2Mom and Worker2Worker at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
