The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office marked the official launch of three community-based initiatives intended to promote mental health services countywide with a ceremony in Freehold on Friday, timed to coincide with the start of May’s Mental Health Awareness Month.  

The Kiwanis Club of Asbury Park has announced a significant partnership with Covenant House Asbury Park, focusing on aiding children and youth in need, particularly those facing homelessness and trafficking.

The NJFC Scholars Program provides funding for eligible youth who have experienced a CP&P out-of-home placement, CP&P independent living arrangement, or transitional living program and are seeking a post-secondary degree at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or a career/technical school. The priority deadline is July 1, 2024.

Mary’s Garden Media is a new foundation to enhance support for individuals and families navigating the profound grief of losing loved ones to suicide. The public is invited to the official launch event of Mary’s Garden Media at the Vogel in Red Bank.

MonmouthCares has been designated to participate in New Jersey’s initiative in response to Problematic Sexual Behavior (PSB). Beginning May 1st, 2024, Specialized Care Coordination (SCC) Services will be available to families to address occurrences involving children under the age of 16.

In collaboration with EZ Ride, the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners has created a free wellness transportation program for Monmouth County residents. Medical, wellness and nutrition appointments include doctor, dentist, therapist, pharmacy and lab work, grocery store, food pantry, farmers market, etc.

Five funding opportunities have been posted for Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) programs to serve youth experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.  For each of these funding announcements, there is an opportunity to learn more, including joining a Pre-Application Webinar. 

The NJ I/DD Youth Transition Conference invites proposals for presentations, workshops, and panel discussions centered around the theme "Navigating the Hero's Journey." Presenters are encouraged to submit proposals by May 17th, 2024.

Monmouth County has been awarded federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program. The application deadline is Friday, May 3, 2024, by 4:00 pm.
