The New Jersey School Based Youth Services Program (SBYSP) was initiated by the NJ Department of Children & Families in 1987 to help young people navigate the adolescent years, finish their education, obtain skills leading to employment or continuing education, and graduate healthy and drug free.
SBYSP was designed with input from teens, to provide employment, health and social services that are available to all youth. Recreation is also provided. Individual and family therapy to adolescents and their families, psychiatric services, substance abuse intervention, physical health services & emergency dental care.
There are four School-Based Youth Services programs in Monmouth County: Keansburg, Red Bank, Long Branch & Asbury Park
