The Louis and Gia Maione Prima Jazz Art Camp for Middle School Students
A free instrumental music camp for middle school students: beginners AND advanced..All Instruments & Levels are welcome.
Over the years thousands of children have been introduced to the wonderful world of instrumental music making in our free Middle School Summer Camps. Presented and facilitated by Jazz Arts Project's staff and instructor, this two-week program is offered each year for all students in Monmouth County, grades 4-7 without ever asking for any tuition or fees. Typically more than 70 students learn to play an instrument with individual and group instruction. They experience playing in various ensembles and even a large orchestra which is assembled and presented in a special public performance at the end of the camp.

Jazz Arts Project presents, performs, educates, and preserves the important legacy, influence, and role of jazz music in all its forms, through collaborative community outreach efforts, high-quality professional performances, as well as educational workshops, and other programs for youth.
