Goals of these workshops are geared toward improving competence in the domain of the classroom environment, enhancing SEL understanding and application, and also identifying where your school community may already be appropriately intuiting SEL needs and prioritizing emotional support New and veteran teachers will find value in these workshops and your school support team like paraprofessionals, social workers & guidance teams get to participate in a continuing education opportunity that allows them to keep the momentum going throughout the school year. 

After working as a school-based mental health professional, both with special and general education populations, Malia began exploring play and neuroscience to aid in supporting adults in mitigating children's challenges. 

As a Black female social worker, and educator at heart, Malia works to create content with anti-oppression and empathy in mind, and giving permission for adults to be authentic, freeing up valuable energy to influence positive change.
