At the Ronald McDonald House, we understand how a family is impacted when a child becomes seriously ill – especially when treatment is far from home.
Our goal is to provide a true “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving care at medical facilities near our New Brunswick Ronald McDonald House. We also offer Family Rooms and a Hospitality Suite in the pediatric units of four hospitals in Monmouth and Middlesex County.
We offer a welcoming, supportive environment for families during a time of uncertainty and stress. Family members can stay together in a comfortable home with private rooms and many amenities. Families who don't require an overnight stay can utilize one of our inviting and home-like family rooms, just steps away from their child's hospital room and caregivers. Our House and Family Rooms help families remain strong throughout the course of their child’s treatment.
Eligibility | Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis to families of seriously ill children who live a minimum of 10 miles outside the House locations and who are referred by a health care provider. Families of hospitalized children are welcome to use one of our in-hospital Family Rooms. |
