Rising Treetops, established in 1906, is an independent non-profit social service agency with offices in New York City and Oakhurst, New Jersey.
While at a camp or respite session at Rising Treetops, clients enjoy daily activities including arts & crafts, music, drama, iPad-based learning, swimming, sports, cooking, and gardening/nature. All our respite services and summer camp programs are designed to engage our clients and improve their skills. Clients have fun, inspire each other, have new experiences, make new friendships, and experience a heightened sense of independence.
Rising Treetops’ 2025 Summer Camp will open on June 13, 2025 with 7 sessions that provide a variety of options for individuals with special needs. We thank you in advance for considering Rising Treetops at Oakhurst and look forward to providing a fun-filled and rewarding special needs summer camp experience for all the campers we serve again in 2025!
Our 2025 summer schedule will include:
- One 8-day session for adults.
- Three 12-day general sessions for all ages and special needs.
- Two 5-day sessions for those applying for autism camp sessions.
- One 6-day “Summer Send-off” open to all ages and special needs.

Rising Treetops staff will contact you upon receipt of application. Your application will be reviewed and a personal interview will be scheduled, if appropriate.
After completion of a personal interview, camp staff will assess your needs to see if Rising Treetops at Oakhurst is right for you. Staff case conferences typically occur weekly. If you have not heard from us in two weeks or more, please call us.
