Red Bank

ABOUT OUR CENTER
If you are a physically independent, mentally active Red Bank resident, 60 years of age or older, you may join us. There is an easy registration process (no fee) and only you can decide how much or how little you may wish to participate.
The Red Bank Senior Center is widely considered to be one of the most scenic centers in New Jersey, located on a high bluff overlooking the historic Navesink River at 80 Shrewsbury Avenue.
We are a multi-purpose activity center. The facility is a one-story ranch-style structure and is handicapped accessible. Currently, we provide services to more than 1,200 seniors each month. We are approaching our 48th year of service to the Seniors of Red Bank.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to help make growing older more fulfilling, rewarding, and meaningful to each of our members, by offering opportunities that satisfy our member's mental, social, and educational needs. We strive to cultivate an atmosphere of belonging, usefulness, self-fulfillment, and friendship.
TRANSPORTATION
We offer door-to-door transportation for our members and weekly shopping trips to local food markets. Our classes and programs include Daily Exercise Classes, Weekly Crafts, Yoga and Tai Chi, Knitting and Sewing. We also offer Bible Study, Art Classes, and a Book Club. We sponsor weekly Bridge, Bingo and Pokeno games. We enjoy summer cookouts, Holiday Parties, Lunch Tours, Movie Trips, and sponsor many diverse day trips.
MEALS
We supply nutritious noon-time meals for our members and coordinate the delivery of more than 100 meals daily to our homebound and shut-in seniors with the assistance of Interfaith Neighbors and outstanding local volunteers.
HEALTH
There are monthly Health visits by a VNA nurse, yearly flu shot clinics, and eye screenings. We provide medical transportation for registered members to local Doctor Appointments.
SOCIAL CONNECTION
We coordinate Intergenerational Programs with children from Monmouth Day Care Center, the Red Bank School Systems (elementary, middle, and high school), and the Boys and Girls Club.
