RBR has many distinctive features that set it apart from other public and private high schools.  In their academic work, students have access to an extensive program taught by a distinguished and dedicated faculty.  RBR offers a comprehensive range of Advanced Placement courses and is one of only 14 New Jersey high schools to offer the International Baccalaureate diploma and certificate program. There is also a rich variety of elective offerings in a wide range of subjects. Moreover, RBR’s academy programs link learning across subjects and enable students to pursue their interests within a smaller learning community.  (Students can apply to participate in academy programs in either their Freshman or Sophomore years.)

In addition to outstanding academics, our school provides an extensive range of athletic and co-curricular offerings. RBR’s 26 varsity sports teams compete in the Shore Athletic Conference; students can also participate in junior varsity and freshman programs. Over 30 clubs and organizations offer rich opportunities for students to collaborate, build friendships, and explore interests outside the classroom.

The RBR community is committed to providing all students the support they need to achieve academic success and find personal fulfillment.  All new students enroll in one of three Freshman Academies taught by teams of core subject-area teachers. A range of counseling services is available through our guidance department and The Source, the school’s on-site counseling center.  Another great strength is the diversity of our student body.  In addition to our local sending districts of Little Silver, Red Bank, and Shrewsbury, students attend RBR from throughout Monmouth County.
