Operation Beachhead

(732) 682-4041
Manasquan

Our organization grew out of the desire to provide fun and adventurous beach activities to the most brave and deserving among us - disabled U.S. military veterans.  Generally these experiences (which we like to refer to as ‘storming the surf’ - surfing, boogie boarding, and more) are unavailable to the disabled without safe instruction and appropriate life guard presence. But we quickly realized that storming the surf is an invigorating experience for many others.  So in addition to disabled vets we also warmly welcome and strongly encourage all active duty troops as well as disabled civilians to come experience storming the surf.

Storming the surf takes place under the instruction of Michael Ricci and Shayne Boyle. Together Michael and Shayne, in partnership with invaluable monitoring by the lifeguards of Sea Girt NJ, accommodate up to 10 people at each event.  Such events include surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, boogie boarding and sailing. The events are structured to allow participants from the novice to the highly skilled to enjoy the activities.
