The Monmouth County Surrogate is responsible for the administration of the services offered by the Surrogates Court. In addition, they serve as Clerk to Superior Court, Chancery Division, Probate Part, and Clerk to Family Part for adoptions.
They can answer questions regarding probate of a Will, qualifying as Administrator of an Estate, applying for Guardianship of an individual, or applying for Adoption.
The Surrogate office is in the Hall of Records, One East Main Street in Freehold, NJ, and is fully staffed and conducting all business operations. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please know you have the option to complete all necessary services via telephone, fax, email, regular mail, and by way of hand delivery or courier. You can also drop off your documents to our receptionist for processing.
Surrogate Raisch reopens Satellite Offices for in-person appointments at the Middletown Township Public Library and Monmouth County Connection in Neptune.
