Middletown Recreation Specialty Camps 2025

Middletown Recreation is happy to host Specialty Camps provided by several vendors this summer. Try something new at one of these great camps! To register for any of the Specialty Camps, please visit our Community Pass site. No discounts apply to specialty camps. Middletown Recreation camp t-shirts are not required.

Multi-Sports Camp

Ages: 5-11
Location: Croydon Hall
Fees: $225.00 / week (Resident)
Times: 9:00am - 12:00pm

  • August 19th - August 23rd

Hosted by US Sports Institute. 

This Multi-Sports Camp gives players the opportunity to experience over 10 different sports across a fun-filled week of camp. Every camp is coached by our professional and energetic coaches who are trained to encourage maximum participation, good sportsmanship, and above all - FUN! All sports equipment required for this camp will be provided by USA Sport Group. All participants will receive a FREE Dri-Fit Shirt.

Snapology Minecraft Camp

Ages: 6-11
Location: Poricy Park Nature Center
Fees: $210 / week (Resident)
Times: 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Date: August 12th - August 16th

Hosted by Snapology of Monmouth County.

Mining and Building Camp (inspired by Minecraft®). Travel to the Nether with Snapology, but watch out for those creepers! Join us as we bring Minecraft® to life using LEGO® bricks, creativity, and maybe even in the game itself. Each day at camp, students will work on awesome activities that will allow them to create their own Minecraft® world, including animals, creepers, 3D Minecraft® characters, and more. Lessons involve critical thinking, architecture, socialization, and a whole lot of imagination. Minecraft® Makers will come together to make awesome builds and bond over this game we all love!

Running Camp

Grades: K-8th
Location: Thompson MS
Fees: $150.00/week (R)
Times: 9:00am - 11:00am
Dates: Monday, August 19th - Friday, August 23rd

Beat the heat with this summer running program set on the partially shaded, field and running trails behind Thompson Middle School. This camp is designed to offer two separate training platforms to meet the needs of each specific age group: middle school and elementary. Join us to jump-start your summer training as we run for fun! This action-packed program is taught in a relaxed, positive, and supportive environment. The middle school runners' activities will focus on technique, form, nutrition, racing strategies, and personal motivation. The elementary program for grades K-4 offers exciting games, races, and training activities that will keep them moving and motivated while building their self-confidence and stamina.
