Grown In Monmouth Camp - 2025

732-872-2670, ext. 225
Middletown

Plant the seeds of knowledge and grow a love for local farms at Grown in Monmouth camp this summer!

At Grown in Monmouth Camp, through the Monmouth County Park System, campers will tour Monmouth County and learn hands-on what it takes to grow fruits, vegetables, hydroponics, animals, and more! Just a sliver of the activities will include fruit picking, visiting a petting zoo, and making your own ice cream!

Grown in Monmouth Camp is for students entering grades 4-6 and runs from July 28 - August 1 at Huber Woods Park. Registration begins March 2 at 12 p.m. For more information visit https://reg.monmouthcountyparks.com/search2.aspx

According to Park System Naturalist Jason Goldman, who organizes and runs the camp, “One of our goals was to connect the children to fresh food. Although the Grown in Monmouth camp only lasted a week, the experience will stay with campers much longer as it cultivated an appreciation of agriculture and its role in the county’s past, present, and future.
