Elevate is a program that serves Monmouth County youth (ages 12-20) who are at risk of or are already engaged in violence.

Our mission is to break the cycle of violence by providing youth and their families with trauma-informed services and alternatives to violence.

The Elevate team is made up of social workers, nurses, faith-based community leaders and peers who have dedicated their lives to making our communities safer.

Our peers have grown up in the communities they serve, have personally experienced violence and have been trained to break the pathway to end cycles of youth violence.  

Youth who engage with our peers will be offered activities that provide alternatives to violence and increase the likelihood of their long-term success.

These activities include:

• Trauma-informed counseling
• School and street outreach
• Recreational activities
• College preparation
• Job readiness and career-based initiatives
• Music lessons and instruments
• Membership to a local gym
• Nutrition and healthy lifestyle support
