The New Jersey Department of Community Affairs' Office of Homelessness Prevention (OHP) is excited to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Bringing Veterans Home: System Enhancements program, with $21 million in available funding across six regions of New Jersey that will accelerate housing outcomes.
Program Overview:
- Comprehensive approach to address and effectively end veteran homelessness through coordinated regional hubs
- Multiple service components including street outreach, rapid rehousing, emergency shelter, diversion, housing navigation, and regional coordination
- Innovative expansion of eligibility to include service members and National Guard members experiencing homelessness
- Goal to make veteran homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring through permanent system enhancements
