This is a monthly 90-minute peer-to-peer support and discussion group that's only for parents and allied family members of LGBTQIA+ South Asians. The group will be led by parents who have navigated their journey of acceptance with their own children. Allied family members at all stages of acceptance - from having just found out about your child's or loved one's identity to having known for years - are welcome to join this safe and nurturing space for families.

Desi Rainbow Parents & Allies was conceived in 2017 for South Asian families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning individuals to learn about LGBTQIA+ issues, find community with one another,r and learn how to better support their loved ones. We serve Desi individuals and families who trace their origins to South Asia, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, and the Maldives.  Our mission is to foster understanding and acceptance among families, with the goal of affirming and celebrating our LGBTQIA+ loved ones.
