YETS serves youth and families that deal with mental health, emotional, and behavioral problems that require highly structured , solution focused, and trauma informed services. Our primary goal is to provide these individuals who require emotional, social, behavioral, and psychological support with specialized mentoring, behavior assistance, licensed in-community therapy in addition to Bio Psycho Social (BPS) services. Additionally, employment assessment and skills training are included along with life skills education. These individualized treatment options are intended to empower and provide self-management alternatives that promote healthy and productive living. YETS is "highly experienced" in psychometric testing that includes psychological and substance abuse evaluations. YETS provides 12 week evidenced based anger management and substance abuse groups throughout the system care in New Jersey. We also conduct 12 weeks groups on bullying, violence reduction and self-esteem enhancement. 

Eligibility YETS will maintain a "no-reject, no eject" policy, meaning no child referred to the program may be denied services or expelled from the program without knowledge and consent of Family, CMO, Family Court or other referral sources. YETS has extensive experience with this eligibility criterion and all program staff members have been properly trained on this policy. Eligibility criteria will include documented history of a mental health diagnosis, learning deficit, and behavioral or emotional problems. YETS will consider the following client profiles for admission: 1). Single or Multi-System Involvement (DCP&P, CMO, JJC, and DMH); 2). Adjudicated, Non Incarcerated; 3).Verbally and Physically Aggressive; 4). Substance Abuse/Use; Non-Addicted; 5).History of Criminal Involvement; 6). DSM-4 Mental Health Diagnosis; 7). History of Maladaptive Functioning 8). Impaired Social Judgment; 9). Academic Under Achievement; and 9).Gang Associate or Member.
