Jersey Shore University Medical Center - Crisis Unit

Meridian's Crisis Unit is a 24-hour, seven days a week walk-in service and hot line for adults, adolescents, and children who are experiencing an acute psychiatric emergency. Our unit offers: emergency intervention. evaluation assessments. psychiatric dispositions and referrals. Crisis evaluations are completed by licensed clinical social workers and registered nurses who have been trained in psychiatric emergency services.

A psychiatrist is onsite Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, and is on call at all other times.
