ENCANTO Workshop: A Creative Expression Event for Kids
Saturday, June 11, 2022
- 4:00 PM
West Long Branch
Children often believe in “needing to be strong,” and sometimes, it’s hard for them to be their true selves when they feel pressured to act a certain way. Children will be able to work on self-awareness, self-discovery, and authenticity by reflecting on ways in which they can be vulnerable with themselves and others which can allow them to learn the importance and power of vulnerability.
This workshop is intended to create space for kids think about the parts of themselves they tend to hide, to appear “strong,” and reframe their thoughts surrounding hiding any part of themselves- and instead, embrace their authentic self as an expression of true strength.
Join us on Saturday, June 11th from 11am-1pm for 3-6 year olds, and from 2-4pm for children ages 7-12! This workshop will include an activity and discussions related to embracing authenticity, vulnerability, and confidence!
