Live classes 2 days per week: Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM

The Core Training prepares individuals to use their mental health or co-occurring lived experiences to provide peer support to adults in the mental health system in New Jersey. Core Training consists of 84 hours of classroom instruction and is delivered by peers and other professionals who are highly experienced in all areas of peer support, wellness, and recovery. It satisfies the primary training requirement for the Certified Recovery Support Practitioner (CRSP) credential in the state of New Jersey.

• Core Training is offered 3 times per year, with set application periods for each of its three sessions.
• Core Training is offered virtually, utilizing a hybrid synchronous and asynchronous format.
• Virtual live classes are held twice per week, with independent work assigned weekly through a learning management platform.

Session 3 will meet from September 19  to November 9, 2023. Applications will be accepted until 9/11/23

Consumer Connections has set application periods for each session of Core Training. Applicants will only be considered for the training session for which they are applying to. Applicants are encouraged to apply early during their chosen application period. If you are not interested in session 3, stay tuned for 2024 dates in the fall.
