New Jersey OFBI's mission is to eliminate barriers to funding and other resource opportunities, create greater access for partnership, and enhance the capacity of faith and community-based organizations to create and implement innovative approaches that are designed for community and economic transformation. Two community organizations will be selected through a competitive grant application process to receive funds to establish pilot programs at sites operating in communities most impacted by gun violence. A notice of funding for entities to apply for these grant dollars is under development and will be published in 2024.
Monmouth Assisting Community Through Services, (Monmouth ACTS) announced that Peter Boynton, director of housing stability, Affordable Housing Alliance, and Kathy Collins, former executive director, MonmouthCares, will serve as chair and vice chair, respectively, of the Monmouth ACTS Advisory Council starting this year.
"As a New Jersey social worker who grew up in Monmouth County, I am thrilled to be joining the amazing team of board, staff, and families at MonmouthCares," Marin says. "Over my 20-year career, I have consistently been dedicated to supporting children and families. It is an amazing fit and privilege to be MonmouthCares' next Executive Director."
