Monmouth County Workforce Development

The Monmouth County Division of Workforce Development prepares the people in our community for careers in various industries that promote self-sufficiency, not just jobs to carry them through to the next paycheck. We do this by providing opportunities that build the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet employer needs and be competitive in the workforce of today.

Our diverse menu of services are designed to connect you with job search, assistance with writing your resume, retraining for a new position and/or referrals to partnering agencies and community resources throughout Monmouth County.

We’re here to help! Our participants come from all walks of life, so whether you’ve been out of the workforce for awhile, been recently laid off, or at a point in your life where you’re ready to start or change careers, we are here to help.  Whether you are a business looking to hire new applicants, looking for labor market information or looking to participate in a job fair, we can help.

The Monmouth County Division of Workforce Development seeks to provide residents access to professional employment services and supports which lead to sustainable employment, and to meet the current and future workforce needs of employers.

Each county in New Jersey has an American Job Center where local and state partners provide services to meet the needs of employers and job seekers. Our agency provides a variety of services for both employers and job seekers.

Eligibility Training is available for those who are unemployed and career counselors can help people who already have a job find a better job. On any given day you will find people using the Learning Link, a room with computers where they can do online training to brush up on their computer skills, reading, math skills or get other tutoring. They can even work toward their GED.
